UNSAID

VANDAL presents UNSAID, a photographic exhibition by Rhiannon Abshoff (Jansma), featuring photographs by Jacqui Turner.

UNSAID is a photographic exhibition showcasing the raw, lived experience of breast cancer. At just 32, Rhiannon was diagnosed with breast cancer, with no family history and no warning signs. Feeling unprepared for what lay ahead, she began documenting her experience across diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Through social media and in collaboration with photographer Jacqui Turner, Rhiannon made sense of her new reality by sharing it with others.

The result is a raw, courageous record of what cancer truly looks like when the doors are closed and the filters are off. It invites audiences to engage with the unspoken aspects of illness, creating space for reflection, understanding, and connection.

The opening night of UNSAID brought together artists, advocates, and community for an evening of reflection and connection around the lived experience of cancer.
